This chorizo (specialty Spanish pork sausage) is seasoned with smoked pimento (paprika) from the La Vera Valley in Western Spain. It is made from a generations-old recipe by a family-owned company in La Rioja. No preservatives are used in this product and the only ingredients used are pork, salt, and pimento. Palacios was the first authentic Spanish chorizo available in the United States and has been featured in the New York Times as well as Wine Spectator magazine. This chorizo is presented in two different flavors, Mild and Hot, depending on the kind of pimento used “dulce” or “Picante”.
